Your first box ships on its own, typically within 2-5 business days. Regular club boxes work differently: they all go out together at the end of each month. Don't let this catch you off guard. If you join early in the month, there will be a longer gap before your second box arrives. For example, if you order on May 1st, your first box ships right away, but your second box, June's selection, won't ship until the end of June. After that first cycle you'll settle into the end-of-month rhythm. Worth knowing: being charged and being shipped are separate events, so a charge doesn't mean a box left the building that day. Absolutely. Log in at login.tinnedfishclub.com, go to My Membership, and click Manage. You'll see the option to pause your membership until a future date of your choice. Nothing bills while you're paused and you keep your spot. You can cancel any time, no hoops: the option to cancel is at the bottom of the same screen. If you'd rather we handled it, write to us and we'll take care of it and confirm when it's done. If you're on a prepaid term, you'll still receive the boxes you've already paid for.
You can currently join and ship your box to anywhere within the United States, U.S. military locations overseas (with APO/FPO addresses), and anywhere in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, and Latvia. If you'd like us to add a new location, just send us a message and we should be able to support you! Shipping is a flat $10 per shipment. Due to international shipping rates and customs, shipments to Canada are a flat $25. Orders returned due to an incomplete or invalid address may be subject to a $10 reshipping fee.
Not at the moment. Boxes are packed identically for everyone, which is what lets us buy from producers at a scale that makes the selection possible. We know some members would like to steer around shellfish or heat, and it's something we're thinking about, but today we can't customize individual boxes. Boxes contain fish and shellfish, and may include items processed alongside other allergens. We don't have controls or processes in place to accommodate specific food allergies. Most tinned fish has only a couple of ingredients, but we can't guarantee what a producer's facility handles. If you have a serious allergy, this probably isn't the right club for you, and we'd rather say so than have you find out the hard way.
